Horrible Customer Service
I am very dissapointed with the service I received from Rockin' Tomato on South Lamar. When I initially called, I was put on hold for 6 minutes before I hung up, re-dialed and someone answered. I understand people can get busy, so I joked that they forgot about me, and they took my order of fried mushrooms and a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. I asked them to please include crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese, to which the order taker replied that parmesan and crushed pepper were included in every box.

When we got our pizza, we opened the box. Aside from the lack of cheese and pepper, we realized they also had forgetten the pepperoni. I called the restaurant and kindly told them that they has messed up my order. The manager, named Mark, got on the phone and in an unmuted discussion with the order taker, he said, "Well, my order taker said you didn't order pepperoni, so what do you want ME to do about it? There's nothing I can do."

I hung up in disgust and will be disputing the charge with Chase Bank's Mastercard Dispute Department.

I am very dissapointed. I've been to the restaurant on many occassions for open mic nights and had pretty good pizza and service.... but the way this manager handled this situation left me severely dissapointed.

For good customer service and excellent pizza, save your money and visit Homeslice instead. - onlineniki , posted 03/10/07

We just happen to stop in here on our way to see a movie, and had a wonderful meal!
We liked the Decor, the staff, and the food. What more can you ask for?
We live in Elgin, so we dont get out much but when we are in the area and need food this is where we go!

Live Music,Cool peeps and $1Beers what more could ask for
The Rockin Tomato is more than just a pizza joint. Every tuesday they have Open mic night hosted by Erika Maassen. Thursday there is Karaoke and Saturday they have Live Bands. They always have $1BEERS and Free WIFI and great gourmet pizzas and fat hamburgers. Very laid back atmophere, a great location on South Lamar next to Alligator grill and open until 12am. So If you are down on south Lamar
