This movie isn't for everyone...not even some Miike fans. But I really liked it for some reason. Its got all the wierdness of Miike movie, but its the usual Yakuza drama. Go the the HKflix website link for details. description, and even a real review! Now I get kind of confused between Kikoku and this movie sometimes since they both have Riki Takeuchi (the Yakuza Elvis) going fucking mad insane with revenge. Its a Miike movie, so its got stuff like women spitting out semen after blowing, yakuzas getting the living shit beat of them by Riki with a tire iron .. i mean the bloody shit out of them , etc etc .. and it has Sonny Chiba in it. There some cool wild scenes with Japanese rock music. The ending is pretty badass, too..but of course, dont expect a Hollywood ending. Well that's my lame half-ass review. Just rent it at your nearest wierdo movie rental place, cuz you wont find this at Blockbuster. - jMgee , posted 01/30/06 |
