I second everything Cap said and want to add that for its location in the center of Austin on the lake, the price was the best available. The Hyatt, which is the closest comparable venue, wanted 3 times as much as we paid just for the room, not including catering. For the location and the perk of cruising around Ladybird Lake, Capital Cruises was a steal! And they were uber cool. - Tara , posted 03/27/08 |

Our wedding reception was aboard the "Pride and Joy" electric-powered paddlewheeler, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Beautiful timing; we saw the few bats that came out, we had a glorious position for the sunset, we let people off and on at convenient times, and the crew was fantastic in their courtesy, discretion, charm and helpfulness. If you're looking for a pleasant venue, this is the TOPS! The Cadillac of the lake! The cost seemed a bit high, but they made it all well worthwhile.
