So yeah, my roommate is moving out at the end of the month. And I need someone to take his place, as of August 1st. Here’s the deal:
It’s a 2/1 duplex, but with no shared walls between duplexes, so it’s pretty much it’s own house. Carport, back yard, landlord pays water, so bills usually run $75-100 for electric and cable internet per person. Deposit is negotiable. It’s accessible to most everything pretty easily – right off of 71, easy to Mopac/35/Lamar/Congress. I really like this area; it’s nice and treed, lots of great restaurants really close, close to bus routes, and though in 78704, it’s not the cheesy, trendy part. It’s here: maps.google.com/maps
Here’s the (at times) deal-breaker: I have furry babies. 2 dogs and 1 cat. They are incredibly sweet, pretty well trained, and absolute attention whores. :} The dogs are not small, and not easily ignored: one 35 lb-ish mutt of a girl, and one 70 lb-ish lab-mutt of a boy. My cat mostly chills in my room, but comes out for loving sometimes – she’s also the sweetest, most chill cat ever. Only real animal lovers are welcome in my house. Period. I am open to the possibility of someone who has furry kids, but will definitely have to meet them and the kid/s first. :}
About me: I’m 26/f, employed in the service industry, so I work mostly nights (not much of a morning person…) I’m very open-minded, pretty easy to get along with… I smoke, but ONLY outside. I drink and party some, but not excessively, and not much at home most of the time. I’m an artist of varying sorts and degrees, and spend a lot of time preparing for and attending arts festivals around the country. In fact, I don’t spend much time at home, really. I have a steady boyfriend of almost 3 years, and he stays the night a lot -- in fact, if we don’t spend the night together here, then we usually stay at his place. I’m not your typical girl, and own a set of tools which I can and do use, go camping frequently, build stuff for fun, work on my own car… Rest assured, though, I am 100% woman, and love it.
So anyway, if you love animals, need a place, are responsible, trustworthy, respectful, and open-minded, please drop me a line. No princesses, no drama, no conservative pricks, no “yeah, I LIKE animals…” (must really love animals), no flakes… Just be real, and really cool. It’s not that hard. :}
Oh yeah! And if you don’t have a lot of stuff, then all the better. I have pretty much a household of furniture and appliances. There IS a bit of storage space, and this COULD be used by/for the right person, but we’d have to talk about that. If you have a bedroom of stuff and not much more, it would be perfect! But with/for the right person, we can figure it out.
